About This Role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Organic farming. Other vegetables and melon farming (except potato). Outdoors. Dusty. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Dirty. Tasks: Apply the technique of hoeing between the row. Clean the crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Hand harvesting vegetables. Pack fruits and vegetables. Pick row and orchard crops. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Sort fruits and vegetables. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Fertilize and spray crops. Harvest crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Type of crops: Apples. Artisanal crops. Bell peppers. Carrots. Cherries. Cucumbers. Garlic. Melons. Onions. Orchard fruit. Tomatoes.
