Construction Labourer

About This Role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Fit and assemble components using hand and power tools. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Equipment and machinery experience: Air compressors. Drills. Hand tools. Construction specialization: Industrial, commercial and institutional. Residential. Security and safety: Drug test. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
