About This Role

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Building/home/construction inspection/inspector. Building construction technology. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: General office. Tasks: Examine plans, drawings and site layouts. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public. Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulation. Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards. Type of inspection: New and existing buildings. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding.
