Senior Accounting Analyst

About This Role

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Business/commerce, general. Accounting and finance. Work setting: Private sector. Tasks: Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control. Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies. Prepare financial statements and reports. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices. Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure. Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation. Analyze financial documents and reports. Examine accounting records. Provide financial, business and tax advice. Administer and deliver the negotiated collective agreement including terms and conditions of employment between union and employer. Variance analysis. Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Prepare monthly statements. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Computer and technology knowledge: Automatic data processing (ADP). Accounting software. MS Excel. Area of specialization: Aviation. Accounting and financial services. Security services. Security and safety: Confidential security clearance. Criminal record check. Credit check.
