Long Haul Truck Driver

About This Role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Employment terms options: Early morning. Evening. Experience: No experience (will train). Employment terms options: Day. Weekend.

• Entry level experience
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
