Auto Body Technician - Refinishing

About This Role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Asset languages: Hindi. Panjabi; Punjabi. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Tasks: Estimate repair cost based on damage examination report. Inspect repaired vehicles. Plan repair work to be performed. Professionalism in customer service. Clean and maintain work space. Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components. File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place. Apply primers and repaint surfaces. Repair or replace interior components. Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs. Mix paint, blend and match colors. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams. Area of work experience: Body components. Doors and frame. Front end components. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Standing for extended periods.
