Construction Labourer

About This Role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction. Tamp concrete using electric vibrator. Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement. Clean and maintain equipment. Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck. Equipment and machinery experience: Concrete vibrators. Pumpcretes. Jackhammers. Forklift. Sledgehammer. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Flexibility. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
