Recreation Facility Manager

About This Role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Recreational facility/institution. Hospitality industry. Tasks: Identify customers' needs . Plan and organize the operations of the facilities and the included real estate. Prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility. Promote sales to existing clients. Recommend products or services to customers. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs. Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff. Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal. Administer first-aid and other assistance. Hire and dismiss staff. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques. Train other workers. Establish administrative procedures. Supervision: More than 20 people. Security and safety: Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
