Retail Store Supervisor

About This Role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Retail business. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Assign sales workers to duties. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff. Establish work schedules. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Organize and maintain inventory. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Prepare and submit reports. Prepare budget and cost estimates. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Establish methods to meet work schedules. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation . Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Supervision: 3-4 people. Cashiers. Retail salespersons and sales clerks.
